It has been at the very heart of climate science for decades. The rainbow colour scale has been used to visualise global changes in rainfall and temperature, but it has always been a problem for colour blind individuals. Well, a decade after the problem was raised to the climate community we may finally be seeing the end of it.
This is a heartfelt plea. A plea to you all to help rid climate science of colour scales that can distort, mislead and confuse. Colour scales that are often illegible to those who are colour blind.
